My name is Lorenzo van der Hoeven and I design music and sound for Interactive Systems.
I specialize in writing catchy melodic themes and making adaptive music systems for games. I pay a lot of attention to detail in my music and want the final product to sound good, both in terms of composition and production.
I also have an interest in game-design, 2D animation and retro computers (like the Atari ST and Amiga).

SOMEWHERE IN THE FOREST
Somewhere In The Forest is an adaptive music system that changes depending on the time of day. I designed it with an RPG forest area in mind.
The visuals were made using Unity, it's a long video, so feel free to skip around.

BINKY'S X-MAS HUNT 2020
I made this game for Christmas 2020 using Game Maker Studio 2. It's a throwback to 1990s Platform Games.
I made everything myself (programming, design, animation, artwork, music and sounds).
It was quite challanging to get everything done in such a short amount of time. The entire soundtrack was composed in only a week.
For the soundtrack I've used a lot of synthesizers and sample sound CDs from the early to mid 90s., to stay true to the game's concept

I made the music for this project, it was quite a challenge to find the right kind of sound for this game.
The Ranchy Rats team and I will be working on this project for the rest of the year.
